The Regulatory Process
The route development process is a multi-step analysis that considers constraints, opportunities and alternatives that aim to minimize impacts to people and the environment.

4. Proposed Route

Develop proposed route(s) to submit to the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) and the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (MPUC).
5. PSCW and MPUC review and issue a decision on project and route
Feedback from the community is a critical component of the route development process. We will incorporate comments from the public as well as other stakeholders, including:
Landowners
Local governments
Environmental agencies
Tribal Nations
Federal and state agencies
Additional Routing Considerations
During the routing process, our team will identify opportunities where routes and route alternatives could be located while evaluating sensitivities or areas that would create more impacts. Wherever possible, the proposed route will use existing transmission corridors to help minimize potential impacts.
